Billing and pricing
ToolGlue is prepaid. You top up a USD balance, every run and build draws from it, and the price is always shown before anything spends. No seats, no tiers.
What costs money
- Tool runs. Each
actcall, saved-action run, code run, or external server call is priced per run; on this deployment the base price is $0.002. Platform pricing rules can vary this by connector, by kind of run, or by time of day; whatever applies is the price shown in the Playground and charged at run time. A run that is denied before dispatch (no balance, bad input, missing scope) costs nothing. - AI builds. Creating or rebuilding a tool with AI places a refundable $0.50 hold, not a price. On completion the usage-based charge is capped at the hold and the rest refunds automatically, so a build that used a few cents costs a few cents. Failed builds refund what was not spent.
- AI connector drafts and fixes. Asking the AI to draft a missing connector, or to fix a broken one from failure feedback, costs $0.50; a failed attempt is refunded by default.
- Free. Connections, connectors, keys, bundles, storage, and every page in the app.
The ledger
Every movement of money is a row in an append-only ledger on the Billing page, each with the balance after it. The balance can never go negative: a run that would overdraw is denied instead, with a top-up hint. A nightly audit re-adds the ledger and alerts on any drift. New workspaces start with a $1.00 welcome grant.
Topping up
Buy a pack on the Billing page, or enter any amount of your own from $1.00 to $5000.00; payment runs through Stripe Checkout and the balance updates as soon as the payment lands. Larger packs carry a volume bonus; a custom amount is added dollar for dollar.
Automatic top-up
Optionally, save a card and let ToolGlue refill the balance when it runs low. It is off by default, and saving a card does not enable it; you flip the switch after reading exactly what it will do. You set the threshold, the refill amount, and a monthly cap that is enforced on every charge. Three failed charges in a row turn it off automatically and email the workspace owners.
Bring your own model key
If you would rather pay the model bill yourself, set your own Anthropic API key in workspace Settings. AI builds then call the model on your account.
